Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct outlines the professional behavior and ethical expectations required of independent service providers who participate in systems that reference Contractor Standards.

These standards exist to define how registered professionals are expected to act when interacting with customers, properties, and the public. They are not performance ratings, guarantees, or certifications, but baseline conduct expectations.

Professional Conduct

Participating service providers are expected to act professionally at all times when communicating with customers, arriving at properties, and performing services.

Honesty & Transparency

Service providers must not engage in deceptive, misleading, or coercive behavior.

Respect for Property & Safety

Providers are expected to respect customer property and prioritize safety.

Independence & Responsibility

All participating service providers operate as independent businesses.

Participation under these standards does not create an employment, agency, partnership, or supervisory relationship with any registry, platform, or authority referencing them.

Accurate Representation

Providers must represent their participation accurately.

Misrepresentation of participation or affiliation is grounds for removal from systems that reference these standards.

Eligibility & Ongoing Participation

Agreement to this Code of Conduct is a condition of participation.

Continued participation may be revoked if conduct expectations are violated or if representations made during registration are found to be false or misleading.

These standards do not replace local laws, licensing requirements, or contractual obligations between customers and service providers.

No Certification or Guarantee

This Code of Conduct does not certify, license, rank, or guarantee service providers.

It establishes baseline expectations for professional behavior only. Service quality, outcomes, pricing, and disputes remain the responsibility of the independent service provider and the customer.
