Participation Standards
Participation Standards define the baseline requirements for independent service providers who choose to participate in systems that reference Contractor Standards.
These standards establish who may participate and the representations providers make when entering a registration or participation framework. They are not performance evaluations, certifications, or guarantees of service quality.
Eligibility to Participate
To participate under these standards, a service provider represents that they operate as a legitimate, independent business.
- The provider operates legally within the jurisdictions they serve
- The provider holds any licenses required by applicable law
- The provider maintains any insurance required by applicable law
- The provider provides accurate and truthful business information
Accurate Representation
Participating providers are expected to represent themselves honestly and accurately at all times.
- No false or misleading claims about services, pricing, or experience
- No misrepresentation of licensing, insurance, or qualifications
- No implication of certification, endorsement, or ranking
- No misuse of badges, marks, or participation references
Independence
Participation under these standards is limited to independent service providers.
- Providers are not employees, agents, or representatives of any platform or authority
- Providers set their own pricing and service terms
- Providers control their own schedules and service delivery
Ongoing Participation
Agreement to these Participation Standards is an ongoing condition of participation.
Participation may be suspended or revoked if a provider fails to meet these standards, violates the Code of Conduct, or makes false or misleading representations.
These standards do not replace applicable laws, licensing requirements, or contractual obligations between providers and customers.
